If you have experienced damage or loss...

1. Report it right away

If you have experienced damage, report your claim here or call (866) 230-3758.

You must also contact your flood insurance provider if you have flood damage. Learn more about navigating flood damage here.

2. Avoid further damage

If the need for emergency services is identified when you report your claim, you’ll be connected with a pre-vetted contractor for services such as water mitigation, roof tarping, and tree removal. See below for more information on this benefit of being a Slide policyholder.

3. Take pictures

If it is safe to do so, take pictures of the damage. You can submit these later to your claims examiners so they can see the full scope of your damage.

What to Avoid

  • Entering your home if it is unsafe.
    From entering a flooded home to operating a generator, there are many potentially risky situations you will face. Click here for tips to keep you and your family safe after the hurricane has passed. 

  • Waiting to report damage to your home.
    The sooner you file your claim, the better. This will expedite the handling process and ensure all the damage caused by the storm is addressed.

  • Signing contracts with contractors other than those through the partners on our approved list.
    Fraudulent contractors prey on victims after a storm. If you are approached by an unsolicited contractor, contact Slide at (866) 230-3758 before signing any contracts. We will ensure you have a legitimate contractor who can get the work done within the terms of your policy. Doing this will avoid you having unexpected out-of-pocket costs from the contractor.
